I can not say we do not have it nor that we do, can say that according to local Game warden only roadkill deer from the 100 series GMU's are needing to be tested at this time.

Do you think we have wasting disease here in the Valley? I sure hope not.

Re: WDFW Lands closing again this year
The main reason for the conversation with the WDFW employee was because the employee was giving me information on an animal I had trapped earlier in the summer that was hairless, and I took said animal in to see if WDFW was interested in it and if it was something that could effect other wildlife. Turns out it was spreadable to other wildlife and even pets had that animal not been removed and incinerated

Can say that the conversation , in my drive, was with a Methow Wildlife Employee that has been there in excess of 15 years. if that isn't good enough TS. Question asked was " Is WDFW going to close the Winter Ranges again this year?" Person answered " Yes they are"
Plus I have no problem with them closing winter ranges only posted the info so those that bitched about it last year could start crying and whining and making plans for this year
Who knows maybe if they keep at it in another 25 to 30 years we'll have the herds we had 25 to 30 years ago before all the transplants moved in.
IMO only those with Vehicle Access Passes should be using those land as their license fees for Hunting, Fishing and Trapping helped pay for them. But I'll be the first to admit opinions are like azzholes everyone has one and they all stink

How about a source? Or a quote? Or an attribution?Jingles wrote: Mon Sep 09, 2024 7:51 pm Just a heads up
Discussion with people that know and asked if WDFW lands were going to be closed again this year? Person answered in the affirmative. So plan on finding alternate places to recreate again this winter.
Otherwise you just sound like trump. Trying to get people to be irate with ‘everybody knows’ bs
No one should be surprised if those LANDS WHICH WERE ACQUIRED FOR WINTER RANGES were, in fact, managed - primarily - for that exact use.
