No Ken, Trump isn't even close to being responsible with the public's money or taxpayer funds in how he spends them. Take a look at what has happened to the deficit under his reign, take a look at inflation, the tariffs...the abuse is monumental.
And as for his income, he's having a great run at increasing his own and family wealth off of the presidency.

UNICEF projects 20% drop in 2026 funding after US cuts
By Michelle Nichols
April 15, 20254:10 PM PDT
Updated April 15, 2025

UNITED NATIONS, April 15 (Reuters) - UNICEF has projected that its 2026 budget will shrink by at least 20% compared to 2024, a spokesperson for the U.N. children's agency said on Tuesday, after U.S. President Donald Trump slashed global humanitarian aid.
In 2024, UNICEF had a budget of $8.9 billion and this year it has an estimated budget of $8.5 billion. The funding for 2025 is "evolving," the UNICEF spokesperson said.

UNICEF did not specifically name the U.S., but Washington has long been the agency's largest donor, contributing more than $800 million in 2024. Since UNICEF was established in 1946, all its executive directors have been American.
"At the moment, we are working off preliminary projections that our financial resources will be, at a minimum, 20% less, organization wide, in 2026 compared to 2024," said the UNICEF spokesperson.
Since returning to office in January for a second term, Trump's administration has cut billions of dollars in foreign assistance in a review that aimed to ensure programs align with his "America First" foreign policy.

The U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said last week that it will cut 20% of its staff as it faces a shortfall of $58 million, after its largest donor, the United States, cut funding.
U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres also last month said he is seeking ways to improve efficiency and cut costs as the world body turns 80 this year amid a cash crisis.

UNICEF has implemented some efficiency measures but "more cost-cutting steps will be required," said the spokesperson.
"We are looking at every aspect of our operation, including staffing, with the goal of focusing on what truly matters for children: that children survive and thrive," the spokesperson said. "But no final decisions have been taken."

If you read about cults that kind of thinking is depressingly common.

You can dig around and find accounts of people in Jim Jones' or David Koresh's cults who rationalized that it was okay when the cult leaders raped their own children.

Does any of this sound familiar?
1. Charismatic Leadership:
A dominant, often charismatic, leader who is seen as infallible or even divine by members.
Members are expected to show unquestioning devotion and obedience to the leader.
The leader's authority is typically not subject to external scrutiny or accountability.

2. Authoritarian Control and Manipulation:
Cults exert tight control over members' lives, dictating their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
Critical thinking and questioning are discouraged or punished.
Mind-numbing techniques may be used to suppress doubts and maintain conformity.
Members may be isolated from family and friends, making it harder to leave.

3. Extreme Beliefs and Ideologies:
Cults often hold unusual or extreme religious, spiritual, or philosophical beliefs.
They may promote a polarized "us vs. them" mentality, creating conflict with the wider society.
Cults often have an apocalyptic vision or believe they are on a special mission to save the world.

4. Financial and Behavioral Exploitation:
Cults may demand significant financial contributions from members, with little transparency about how the money is used.
Members may be subjected to unethical or illegal behaviors, often justified by the leader's authority.
Exploitation of members, including psychological and physical abuse, is common.

5. Isolation and Dependence:
Cults actively isolate members from their families, friends, and the outside world.
This isolation fosters dependence on the group and makes it more difficult for members to leave.
Members may be made to feel unworthy or guilty for considering leaving.

It is simply amazing - and certainly entraining as hell - watching ken go through the mental gymnastics and logical/factual fallacies and gyrations to get to a place to allow his own mind to not only accept FELON Guilty donnie, but actually defend him.

Glad you're bringing some scripture here, this little cult desperately needs some! BTW, never does Jesus say use the government to fulfill your personal obligations and take millions of dollars in taxes from OTHERS to then be used through government bureaucracy to fulfill scripture and commandments. That will never make YOU holy.

I do think it is interesting how often cults of personality end up intersecting with child sexual abuse. Almost like there is a pattern there.

But in fairness I do not think the strongest analogy to Trump's Amerikkka in 2025 is Nazi Germany or Fascist Italy. I think a better analogy is China under Mao during the Great Leap Forward and the Cultural Revolution. Or on a different note the Kmer Rouge under Pol Pot.

Actually the only serious comparison you can make between Donald Trump and Adolf Hitler is that they both think (or thought) they were architects.

I've said this before multiple times. Implementing any kind of totalitarian information control on a society as complex as the United States of the 21st century will inevitably lead to spectacular systemic failures. Probably fairly quickly.

And when I say "spectacular systemic failures" I think the best analogy to visualize what I think will happen is to imagine if you are a passenger on a commercial jet flying over the Pacific and all of the engines suddenly explode.

"“But don’t worry about America.
If this beloved country were transforming into an authoritarian state, you’d see masked agents roaming the streets, arresting and detaining innocent people. If 63% of people detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement had no violent criminal history or 93% had never been convicted of a violent crime, that would fit the definition of fascism.
Fascism may be defined as a form of political behavior marked by obsessive preoccupation with community decline, humiliation, or victimhood and by compensatory cults of unity, energy, and purity, in which a mass-based party of committed nationalist militants, working in uneasy but effective collaboration with traditional elites, abandons democratic liberties and pursues with redemptive violence and without ethical or legal restraints goals of internal cleansing and external expansion.
— Robert O. Paxton, The Anatomy of Fascism
Of course, if this country were heading in the same direction as fascist Italy or Nazi Germany, the government would be recruiting volunteers to join a paramilitary police force similar to Mussolini’s Voluntary Fascist Militia for National Security or Hitler’s Sturmabteilung (Assault Division). Thankfully, not even Superman is crazy enough to volunteer for a secret police force.
Which leads to a more hypothetical question:
What exactly would it take for most Americans to admit that America is a fascist country?
I think we can all agree that only a tyrant would deploy the military to target dissenters. What if he refused to extend aid to taxpayers in states that supported his political rivals? Only a fascist would direct military to “knock the hell out of” American citizens. A fascist dictator would pardon violent supporters and jail his political rivals. At least he hasn’t put an extremist Christian nationalist in charge of the military and purged the armed forces of everyone but white, heterosexual, cisgender men. That would probably be considered fascist.
But would firing government workers who told the truth be considered an act of fascism? What if we built a state-of-the-art concentration camp on American soil and called it “Alligator Alcatraz”? A real American wouldn’t stand for a president who punished colleges and private businesses that didn’t capitulate to his unilateral edicts. Is it an authoritarian state if the president tried to make CBS, NBC, ABC, the Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal into his personal propaganda outlets?
I’m not being facetious. Even if you are a Trump supporter, I genuinely want to know what constitutes a fascist “red flag.” Then again, I’m old enough to remember when fascism included inflation, losing health care jobs, fining private corporations and proposing a “national security force.” But that was back in the good old days when conservatives hated deficits, government regulations and the Internal Revenue Service. But now, they love big budget deficits, DEI regulations on private businesses and IRS snitching on private citizens.
To be fair, I might be wrong. It is entirely possible that Trump has not injured the Constitution, and American democracy is perfectly healthy. Maybe the less experienced, less educated, less qualified people who make up the Trump administration are better at caring for this country than all of the noted economists, historians, political scientists, legal scholars and actual fascism experts.
But here’s the thing: My brain still worked when I had a concussion. A broken wrist didn’t prevent me from dribbling, and a bone in my trachea didn’t stop me from talking. But just because most Germans didn’t end up in concentration camps doesn’t mean they didn’t know that Hitler was a fascist tyrant. Either they didn’t mind that their country was mass murdering its citizens, or they were too cowardly to speak up.
Or maybe they were Nazis, too.’ Tom Digby
