I think there are still a lot out there that don't understand the implications of prop 1 being about a Metropolitan Park District. The FOP has convinced many pro-pool people that they don't need tax payer money to build the pool. That is evidenced by the MVN letter rebuttal reply that they gave to Steve's letter.

And you had to correct someone at the MethowNet BB that no the FOP doesnt have money (or Grant commitment according to Blue Brady) lined up to built the Mega Aquatic Center (MAC). The feasibility study even mentions that taxpayer money would be needed to build the thing.

The FOP did a good job creating confusion with their ever-changing narrative.

Sad thing is they divided a community that is mostly in favor of a pool, just not a Big Mac and not funded by a Metropolitan Park District new taxing district.

Pearl -

I thought about this issue after your post yesterday. It is unfortunate because I specifically clarified with the elections people that the measure was Proposition 1 when filing the voters pamphlet statement. Who would expect to have multiple measures with the same number?

I don't think there will be confusion on the lead-up to the election. Maybe the ballot, but not the campaigning.

Anyone paying attention to news, social media or yard signs equates Proposition 1 with the aquatic district proposal. It has been that way for months.

I think the hospital district should be concerned about confusion and association with a proposal that has drawn so much valley criticism. I'll leave it to them to sort it out, and hope that they come up with a good plan.

It's a great sign. However, I contacted the election office and Three Rivers and they were also given the number of Prop 1. So this is going to be mighty confusing.

I say mislead as most of the info some are putting forth is false and discieving about the actual intent

I would take another medium. I have some friends on the West County road where they have a prominent place to put one.
