This looks to me like someone perceives they are losing control and starting to grab at anything they can.

Careful tossing words out like 'lawless' until you read the facts because using the word 'lawless' only applies to the acts of ICE and Pam Bondi here. Lawless implies that someone does not recognize or follow the law and since Trump lost 9 cases just on Friday that demonstrated he and his admin are performing 'lawless' acts that boomerang is about to hit you in your ample behind.

Lawless judges (or at a minimum SELECTIVE law judges), sure that’s just fine! Sarcasm off now.

The point of this had nothing to do with this particular undocumented person. The point of the exercise was to show how much static you will get if they even think you might have helped an undocumented person. It is a simple intimidation campaign.

As the day played out more facts rolled in. ICE did not bring a judicial warrant to present to the Court, instead they brought an administrative warrant which is an entirely different kettle of fish. Any administrative warrant does not carry clout. Think about what this all means, that any of us, going to court to address a misdemeanor can be subjected to an ICE warrant signed conveniently by an agent not a judge, interrupt a court proceeding and arrest you while you're in the courtroom. The immigrant walked out the door, past the agents who did nothing to stop him.
