This also ties back to the SAVE Act that the House just passed and is awaiting a vote in the Senate. Carrying forward its logic, a woman whose birth certificate name is different than her married name could open the door for ICE to say she was not a US born citizen. Without due process being afforded, any woman would be vulnerable to rendition (not deportation, because this is after all her homeland) and as Marco Rubio has said in written statements to the Courts the SoS has the right to 'deport' based on the opinion of the deportee.

Well, if (as they claim) they can deport non-citizens without due process, all they have to do is say that anyone they want to get rid of is not a citizen and therefore you have no way to contest that as non-citizens are (in their head) not entitled to due process.

So their reasoning is badly flawed and circular but is a species of "logic".

How this ties into the reports of US Citizens getting threatening letters from Homeland Security telling them they must self-deport is anyone's guess. I can't tell if it is sinister or just incompetent goons being incompetent goons. But it likely doesn't matter.

The 5th Amendment states: "no person...shall be denied life, liberty or property without due process." Not, 'no citizen', not 'no person with exceptions for those in the country illegally.' NO PERSON. NO PERSON>

“In his meeting with President Nayib Bukele today in the White House, President Donald Trump told his Salvadoran counterpart that “home-growns are next” and that El Salvador would “need to be build about five more places” to hold American citizens.

So the president of the United States proposes, on camera, to deport Americans to foreign concentration camps.”
