Third doses

I've been a little confused about recommendations for third doses of Pfizer or Moderna. I've heard it is recommended at 8 months, then 6 months, and simultaneously that it is currently only for those who are immunocompromised. It is a confusing situation all around. It also is important to me because I got my second Moderna shot in early March so that six-month date is coming up fast.
So I took my own advice and called Confluence Health. A nice lady clarified that at this time only immunocompromised individuals are cleared for a third dose. It sounds like more decisions and changes to that policy will come about in late September at the earliest.
If you think you might qualify for a third dose at this time you certainly should call your doctor and get the straight story.
